Since the start of this year, the Advent Team has been working to develop solutions to help our customers maximise their software investments and to help cut costs. Examples of such developments can be seen in our case study section as well as in the section which profiles the range of Advent Modifications available for Sage 200.

Product News: Introducing Sage 200 2009

Sage 200 2009 is the latest version of Sage 200. Replacing version 5.1, Sage 200 2009 is the most advanced version of the Sage 200 platform and now includes multi-user access to Sage 200 Financials and Sage CRM, making it quicker and easier for Sage 200 users to get set-up on Sage CRM. Sage 200 2009 has been developed around the top wish list items and has been designed to improve end-user satisfaction and usability.

So what's new in Sage 200 2009? Below are the enhancements for Sage 200 Financials & Commercials modules. For a full list of the new features for all modules, please click here.

  • Workspace Designer: designed to give you business critical information ‘at a glance’ on your desktop. Their design makes it quicker and easier to access related information. The designer tool enables you to configure user defined workspaces to meet specific requirements, allowing each individual user to have a customised workspace; 
  • Sage Payment Solutions Integration: you can now quickly and easily record credit card transactions against orders and invoices, from within Sage 200. This eliminates the need to do two separate transactions in separate applications, improving efficiency and reducing the margin for human error;
  • Deposit Handling: ensures compliance with the VAT regulations around deposit handling. Also reduces credit control error as the payment is apparent on the customers account when the payment is received;
  • Create Purchase order from Sales Order: allows you to configure Sage 200 to buy and sell stock in your required units, whilst offering guidelines on setting up units to get the best results for your business;
  • Web-based Help Files: the new format provides more functionality and flexibility than the format supplied in previous releases.

Latest inspHire News

With the current economic environment making return on investments critical, Advent would like to keep our inspHire customer up-to-date on the latest developments within the software.

inspHire Office Edition Build number 449 is the latest version of the software and includes several new features which we believe will be of benefit to our customers. Just some of the features included in Build 449 are:

  • New and updated database tables
  • New and updated reports
  • New system and user options
  • New sales options for hire contracts
  • A days-utilised service
  • New sales order processing

We would also like to make dBASE inspHire users aware of the following notice:

Build 449 will be the last supported build for customers using a dBASE platform. To take advantage of any new features that will be included in subsequent versions of inspHire Office Edition, you will need to upgrade to an SQL platform. Please contact Advent on 01-8223 200 or sales@advent.ie about upgrading your inspHire system to an SQL platform.
